November 16-22, 2008 ...during National Children's Book Week, KPIRC staff will read to preschoolers and distribute books to the children!

 

Liberal Memorial Library -- Monday evening, November 17, 2008 and Thursday morning, November 20, 2008 -- will host two special story time sessions--one on  The rest of the week will be devoted to visiting preschools and daycare centers throughout Liberal reading Bear Feels Sick and giving away a copy of Wash Your Hands by Tony Ross to each class and center.

 

Manhattan Public Library -- staff will read Bear Feels Sick during 11 story times that week, and each child will receive a free copy of Don’t You Feel Well, Sam? courtesy of the library’s friends group.  More than 150 day cares, centers and preschools in the area will also receive a free copy of this book to celebrate Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week.

 

Manhattan Public Library --  November 20, 2008, 6:30 p.m. – will have a special “Healthy Kids Story time” featuring Bear Feels Sick and Farm Flu, with two local doctors as guest readers.  Following the story time, Riley Co. Extension staff will provide a nutritious cooking activity for the children and parents.  Each child will receive a free copy of Don’t You Feel Well, Sam?, after the program.
